Built upon the Gantry Framework, Entropy is a unique one-page design from Rocket Theme.
With 68 widget positions and 18 widget variations (12 stylistic, 6 structural); Entropy lives up to its reputation as versatile. The theme has 6 distinct content blocks. When a visitor clicks on one of the blocks in the top navigation menu the page scrolls down to the appropriate section. The 6 sections are Header, Showcase, Feature, Mainbody, Bottom and Footer. Although all sections are displayed on one page, pages and posts are shown on separate page.
I don’t like the way the blog is incorporated into the home page though; I’d much prefer the blog index to be listed on a separate page. It is possible to do this if you link to the blog front page manually by adding a link to the navigation menu.
The theme comes with some custom Rocket Theme plugins such as the home page slider Rocktabs, the stylish table creator RokFeatureTable and RokNewsPager or displaying accordion style lists.
The great thing about the design is that each section has a different colour scheme and style. There are 6 preset styles in total.
In my opinion Entropy doesn’t work well as a blog though it’s an interesting design for a portfolio, business website or online resume.
